Furukawa Shiko (古川紙工), founded in 1835 in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, is a Japanese papermaking company specializing in Mino washi, a traditional paper renowned for its fineness and strength.

 

Located in one of the historical centers of washi production, the company perpetuates ancient savoir-faire while developing contemporary formats adapted to current uses.

It designs and manufactures letter sets, envelopes, decorative papers, stickers, and washi items that combine traditional materials with modern design. Furukawa Shiko exists to preserve and transmit Japanese paper culture through everyday writing objects.
